UMCOR Sunday – This Sunday’s Above & Beyond Giving

This Sunday is UMCOR Sunday, and we want to remind you that even though writing a check or putting cash in the offering doesn’t feel exciting, you really ARE making a difference.

Your donations to UMCOR on this Special Sunday help:

There are countless other stories about seeing God’s work in action through UMCOR. We want you to know that it is something we can do together to help give relief and spread God’s love throughout the world.

Your gifts on UMCOR Special Sunday underwrite UMCOR’s “costs of doing business.” This helps UMCOR keep the promise that 100% of any gift to a specific project will go toward that mission, not administrative costs. This is such an important gift and one that we can do together. Let’s make a difference, together.

Doing Good Friday – 4/19
Good Friday is the day in the Christian tradition where we remember the tragedy and sacrifice of Jesus Christ’s death on the cross. He was murdered because of his relentless service toward others and how it challenged (and threatened) the status quo. The cross reminds us to serve others as Jesus did and to share the grace we receive from Christ with others.

This year we are going to “do” Good Friday a little bit differently. Instead of having a formal worship service, we are going to spend the day going out and serving others. Doing Good Friday will be our chance to reflect on how the cross shapes our lives while making a difference in our community.

We will have both morning and afternoon shifts with a variety of projects and lunch is provided. You can come for all day or part of the day!

If you have any questions, contact Missions & Social Justice Chair, Britt Bradley.

To RSVP as a volunteer or to submit a request for a service project that you need done, please fill out this form:
